We seek corporate sponsorship from companies large and small. Sponsorship would be especially suited to IT companies — for instance suppliers of hardware to climate modelling centres — and to those in the energy sector, with an interest in climate science. This sponsorship opportunity is also open to other donors: NGOs, agencies, institutes, high-net-worth individuals, but we may suggest different defined benefits in those sectors.
All our accounting, including the source and size of all financial contributions, is published on our website.
Our sponsorship system has four levels: silver, gold, platinum, and founding. We are flexible and if none of these levels suits your company, contact us.
Silver sponsors pay £5,000 per year. They get a paragraph on our “Sponsors” web page, a press release, and the opportunity to provide flyers for participants in Foundation workshops and conferences. The main benefit for a silver sponsor is in their own public relations: they can announce their contribution to transparency and quality in climate science.
Gold sponsors pay £10,000 per year. They get a paragraph on our “Sponsors” web page, a press release, the opportunity to provide flyers for participants in Foundation workshops and conferences, a mention on the Foundation home page, and a booth at a Foundation workshop. Thus, they can benefit from direct PR and advertising to climate scientists and others involved in the Foundation’s activities.
Platinum sponsors pay at least £20,000 per year. They get a mention and logo on the Foundation home page, a large logo and paragraph in the top section of the “Sponsors” page, a press release highlighting the size of the donation, a grateful quote from the Foundation for use in their own public relations materials, a mention in every Foundation press release for a year, and the opportunity to have a booth and flyers at Foundation workshops and conferences. Thus, platinum sponsors will be regularly associated with the work of the Foundation.
Founder sponsors are the premier corporate sponsors of the Foundation. The first three sponsors to pay at least £30,000 will qualify as founder sponsors. In return they get platinum sponsor benefits, plus a permanent mention on the Foundation’s home page (regardless of future sponsorship).
Only a very small number of platinum or founder sponsors are required to get the Foundation off the ground: they are likely to be in a very exclusive club.
